Recording nothing solid from the world to associate with, photographing the grid represents representation alone, photography corrupting photography. Poised between analogue and digital, the work contorts the perspective grid of the ground glass as if a wire frame construct. What once stretched out into infinity loops back and space becomes contained. Playfully exploring an incompatibility of spaces. The delicate chemical anomalies of each Polaroid reveal the imperfections of an object handled, a contradiction to the reductive formality of the image. At once referential and propositional, pushing forwards and back, abstract mathematics in relation to our bodies.
